Preventative Maintenance

Translucent believes that preventative maintenance of computer systems is the most cost efficient way of keeping computer systems operating effectively on behalf of a business.  Preventative maintenance keeps the computer systems on line and operational for the business operations and minimizes the costs of ownership of I.T. systems by the following:

Break and Fix Service

Translucent recognizes that issues with systems cannot always be headed off by Preventative Maintenance especially in this day and age of external computer viruses and the very nature of electronic computer systems that can be prone to issues that cannot be predicted.  With that Translucent offers the following: Help Desk Support Telephone support for general queries and issues regarding systems, applications and IT environment.  Once a support call is logged a technician will respond to assess the situation and assist in resolving the issue.

Remote Service

Many Issues can be resolved by the use of the technologies available to access the systems remotely via the internet connection with such applications such as VPN (Virtual Private Networks) and Terminal Services (the remote control of a computer).  The use of these technologies allows for Translucent’s technicians to access the business’s systems without incurring travel time costs and can often result in a solution being available much quicker than can be achieved with an on site visit.

On-Site Emergency Service

Breakdowns will happen with computer systems especially as those systems get older.  Translucent offers on-site support to assist in those matters that cannot be resolved by Preventative Maintenance, Help Desk or Remote Support.
